Born in Baltimore, Maryland, May 1, 1954. Morgan State University, B.A. (secondary education), 1976. Former teacher. President, Maryland Association of Counties, 2020 (board of directors, 2016-; 1st vice-president, 2019). President, Greater Baltimore Chapter, Patuxent Women's Coalition. Member, Cold Spring Community Association; The Woodlands at Cold Spring Community Association; Morgan State University Alumni Association, Inc. Member, St. Bernardine Roman Catholic Church, Baltimore, Maryland. Married; one child.
