Born in Baltimore, Maryland, January 31, 1953. Attended Baltimore City College; Georgetown University, B.A., 1974; The American University, M.Ed., 1976; University of Baltimore School of Law, J.D., 1981. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1981. Member, Maryland State and Howard County Bar Associations. Died in Towson, Maryland, June 28, 2002.

In memory of Judge Sfekas, the Kit Sfekas Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at Mount Hebron High School in 2003.
