Member, American Bar Association; Maryland State Bar Association (board of governors, 1980-82; chair, resolution of fee dispute committee, 1983-86); Anne Arundel County Bar Association (secretary, 1969-77; president, 1979-80); American Trial Lawyers Association. Member, Paca-Brent Joint American Inn of Court, 1985- (president, 1990-91). Adjunct Professor (paralegal studies; family law), Anne Arundel Community College, 1986-2001. Adjunct faculty, University of Baltimore School of Law, 2001-08. Former member, Board of Trustees, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. Outstanding Service Award, Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, 1997. Award of Merit, Anne Arundel Psychological Association, 2000. Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award, University of Baltimore School of Law, 2008. Outstanding Service Award, Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, 2009. Former member and lay reader, St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Died in Arnold, Maryland, October 5, 2012.
