Retired March 1, 2016. Senior Judge since 2016. Member, Executive Committee, 1997-2000, and Family and Domestic Relations Law Committee, 1997-2000, Maryland Judicial Conference. Member, Foster Care Court-Improvement Implementation Committee, 1997-2006 (chair, statistics & judicial information systems subcommittee, 1997-2004).

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, March 20, 1946. Loyola College, B.A., 1968; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1971. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1972. Member, Maryland State Bar Association (committee on laws, 2013-); Frederick County Bar Association; American Association for Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association); Maryland Association for Justice (formerly Maryland Trial Lawyers Association). Co-Founder, Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Frederick County, 2001. Past president and general chair, United Way of Frederick County. Past member, Board of Directors, Red Cross. Lifetime Achievement Award, Maryland State Bar Association, 2013.
