Born in Washington, DC, April 27, 1942. Attended Northwestern High School, Hyattsville, Maryland; University of Maryland, B.S., 1964; Washington College of Law, The American University, J.D., 1967. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1967. Member, American Bar Association (house of delegates); Maryland State Bar Association (board of governors); Prince George's County Bar Association (president, 1979-80). Member, Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, Inc. Author, Domestic Relations Section of Maryland Law Practice Manual; Law Related Education: A Ten Year Experience; and Understanding the Judicial Branch of the Government (1990). Distinguished Service Award, Maryland State Bar Association; Outstanding Service Award, Citizens Advisory Committee to Pilot Law-Related Education Project for the Schools of Maryland. Legal Excellence Award for Advancement of Public Understanding of the Law, Maryland Bar Foundation, 2000.
