Report to County Executive, County Council, County Board of Education, Interagency Commission on School Construction, & Frederick County House & Senate Delegations due Dec. 31, 2024 (Chapter 350, Acts of 2024).

In June 2024, the Frederick County School Construction Master Plan Workgroup was authorized by the General Assembly (Chapter 350, Acts of 2024).

Based on its review of the 2023 update to the Educational Facilities Master Plan, the Workgroup is to evaluate all school facility needs in the Frederick County Public Schools portfolio; and explore and evaluate solutions to balance the fiscal demands of the educational needs of the County's school construction priorities. The Workgroup also will consider cost-saving or cost-sharing opportunities for Frederick County to fund and afford: new school projects; maintain existing buildings; or renovations to aging schools to better meet educational needs.

Ten members constitute the Workgroup.

Authorization for the Workgroup ends June 30, 2025.
