Report to Calvert County Board of Commissioners, Calvert County Board of Education, Interagency Commission on School Construction, & Calvert County Delegation to General Assembly due Dec. 31, 2024 (Chapters 237 & 238, Acts of 2024).

In June 2024, the Workgroup to Study the Fiscal and Operational Viability of Public-Private Partnerships for Calvert County Public Schools was authorized by the General Assembly (Chapters 237 & 238, Acts of 2024).

With regard to Calvert County public schools, the Workgroup charge is to study the fiscal and operational viability of using a public–private partnership to finance, construct, maintain, and operate them; consider the implementation of a public–private partnership; and determine how a public–private partnership may relieve the significant burden for funding new school construction and renovations for the County. Further, the Workgroup will make recommendations regarding using a public–private partnership for new school construction; and maintenance and rehabilitation of schools to meet the identified needs at lower cost.

Authorization for the Workgroup ends June 30, 2025.
