In July 2024, the Arts Incubator Workgroup was authorized by the General Assembly (Chapters 613 & 614, Acts of 2024).

The Workgroup is to study how arts and cultural institutions can support local artists.

Fifteen members constitute the Workgroup. Thirteen of these are appointed by the Governor, and one each by the Senate President and House Speaker. The Chair is named by the Governor.

Authorization for the Workgroup ends December 31, 2025,
