Report to Governor & General Assembly due Dec. 1, 2023 (Chapter 168, Acts of 2023).

In 2023, the Apprenticeship 2030 Commission was initiated by the General Assembly (Chapter 168, Acts of 2023).

The Commission is to examine and make recommendations to reduce skill shortages in high–demand occupations, and provide affordable training as career pathways for young people. At all education levels, it will focus on registered apprenticeships with the goal of recruiting into apprenticeships high school students, as well as individuals, who are unemployed or underemployed, and at least 18 years of age.

Twenty-three members constitute the Commission. Six of these serve ex officio.

Authorization for the Commission ends December 31, 2024.
