Final Report to Governor due Nov. 1, 2025 (Executive Order 01.01.2025.05).
In January 2025, the Maryland Advanced Air Mobility Council was established by the Governor (Executive Order 01.01.2025.05).
The Council is to catalog existing State assets related to the advanced air mobility industry; engage with the advanced air mobility industry, regulators, local governments, and other relevant parties regarding the operation of advanced air mobility technologies in Maryland; and study and identify opportunities to attract, develop, and grow the State's advanced air mobility industry. Further, the Council will identify potential use cases for advanced air mobility systems in the State, and provide an assessment of cost and necessary considerations for their implementation.
Twelve members make up the Council. Seven serve ex officio, and five are appointed by the Governor, who names the Chair.
Authorization for the Council ends December 31, 2026 (Executive Order 01.01.2025.05).
