The Pricing and Selection Committee for Rehabilitation and Employment Programs started in 1985 (Chapter 735, Acts of 1985). The Committee reviewed contracts and established fair market prices for goods and services provided to State government agencies by sheltered workshops located in Maryland. Sheltered workshops contract with individual State agencies to provide janitorial, food and micrographic services, and to manufacture supplies, such as snow stakes for use on State highways.

Six members constituted the Committee. Four served ex officio. Two represented Maryland Works, Inc. (Code State Finance and Procurement Article, secs. 14-106, 14-107).

In July 2008, the Committee was restructured as the Pricing and Selection Committee for the Employment Works Program (Chapters 576 & 577, Acts of 2008).
