In July 2007, the Task Force to Study Group-Home Education and Placement Practices was authorized (Chapter 333, Acts of 2007). For children in out-of-home placement in State-licensed programs, the Task Force studied current practices both for education and placement.

The Task Force submitted its interim report to the Governor and General Assembly in December 2007, and its final report in December 2008. Authorization for the Task Force ended June 30, 2009.
