In July 2024, the Arts Incubator Workgroup was authorized by the General Assembly (Chapters 613 & 614, Acts of 2024).

The Workgroup charge was to study how arts and cultural institutions can support local artists.

Fifteen members constituted the Workgroup. Thirteen of these were appointed by the Governor, and one each by the Senate President and House Speaker. The Chair was named by the Governor.

Authorization for the Workgroup ended December 31, 2025.
