Author, NMS Surgery (2015) and NMS Surgery Casebook (2015). Member, Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland. Lindbach Award for Distinguished Teaching in Clinical Sciences, Jefferson Medical College, 1982. Burlington-Northern Foundation Faculty Achievement Award, Jefferson Medical College, 1987. Clinical Science Educator of the Year Award, College of Medicine, University of Arizona, 1993, 1996, 1997. Charles F. Zukoski Award for Outstanding Role Model in Surgery, College of Medicine, University of Arizona, 1994.
