Former president, Baltimore Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; Metropolitan Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) Board; Black-Jewish Forum of Maryland. Former board member, Baltimore Urban League; Gilman School; McDonogh School. Distinguished Alumni Award, St. Louis University, 1972. Lifetime Achievement Award, Fullwood Foundation, 2001.
