Report to General Assembly budget committees on comparability, competitiveness, affordability, & sustainability of State-funded retirement benefits in relation to system's long-term funding due Jan. 1, 2011 (Joint Chairmen's Report, 2010, p. 37).

Since 1985, the Special Joint Committee on Pensions has functioned.

The Committee reviews issues affecting State pension systems.
