Born in Elkton, Maryland, October 9, 1948. Attended Corpus Christi High School, Elsmere, Delaware; Cecil Community College; University of Maryland. Served in U.S. Army, 1969-71, with a tour in Vietnam, 1969-70 (two Army Commendation Medals). Employed by Bell Atlantic-MD (now Verizon), 1972-2001. Member, Knights of Columbus; Elks; Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW); American Legion. Former secretary, Cecil County Junior Football League. Married; five children.
