Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, July 5, 1947; life-long resident of Montgomery County. Attended Montgomery County public schools; Northwood High School, Silver Spring; Towson State College, B.A., 1969 (ROTC); Georgetown University Law Center, J.D., 1972. U.S. Army Reserve (captain), 1972-80. Admitted to Maryland State and Supreme Court Bars. Attorney. Ehrlich & Gordon, Rockville. Member, Maryland State Bar Foundation. Member, Montgomery County Bar Association. Past president, West End Citizens Association; Rockville Civic Federation. Chair, Task Force on Human Relations, Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee, 1973. Member, Rockville Little Theatre; Peerless Rockville Historical Society; Greater Gaithersburg and Rockville Chambers of Commerce. Outstanding Young Man in America, 1983. Distinguished Service Awards, Maryland Municipal League, 1983, 1984, 1988, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004 (certificates of appreciation, 1985, 1986, 1989, 1992, 1993, 1998). Award for outstanding support and commitment to Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA), National Council of Jewish Women, 1990. Award, Maryland State Bar Association, 1992. Legislator of the Year, Building and Construction Trades Council, 1992. Award, ABC Contractors, 1994. Married. Died in Bethesda, Maryland, August 29, 2012.
