Born in Baltimore, Maryland, October 18, 1931. Attended Kenwood High School, Baltimore County; University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, B.S., 1957. Attended St. John's University, New York, for additional study in pharmaceutical chemistry. Served in U.S. Navy; Corpsman 2nd class, Navy Hospital Corps, 1951-55; Lieutenant, 1959-63; U.S. Naval Reserve, 1963-71; Lieutenant Commander (retired). Registered pharmacist. Co-owner, New Windsor Pharmacy, 1968-75; Union Bridge Pharmacy, 1975-99. Member, Mayflower Society; American Legion Post no. 191, Mount Airy; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post no. 8806, Union Bridge; Union Bridge Lions Club. Charles McC. Mathias, Jr., Award, House of Delegates, 2010. New Windsor Hall of Fame, 2015. Member, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Taneytown, Maryland. Widower; three children; two grandchildren. Died in Frederick, Maryland, October 7, 2024.
