W. RAYMOND BECK (1932-2014)
Republican, District 39, Montgomery County
Member of House of Delegates, 1995-99, representing District 39 (Montgomery County). Member, Ways and Means Committee, 1995-99 (fee subcommittee; taxes & revenues subcommittee). Member, Special Committee on School Enrollment Management, 1996-97.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, December 7, 1932. Attended Downers Grove High School, Downers Grove, Illinois; U.S. Naval Academy, B.S., 1954; U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, M.S. (electrical engineering), 1962. Served in U.S. Navy, 1950-84, retired as captain (Bronze Star for duty commanding a destroyer, Vietnam). Senior engineer and retired naval officer. Consultant, Vitro Corporation, 1984-95. Married; two children, two grandchildren. Died in Lewes, Delaware, December 31, 2014.
