A Taste for the Fine Arts - George Peabody's Gift to Maryland

A Tour of the Exhibition in Government House

Works of art from the state's Peabody Collection are on exhibit in three public rooms of Government House through December of 1998. Maryland's Government House, located in historic downtown Annapolis, has served as the Governor's official residence since 1870. Within the context of furnishings which have been used and enjoyed by many Maryland First Families, the walls of Government House provide an ideal setting for this display of paintings so rich in Maryland history.

Tours of the exhibit, A Taste for the Fine Arts: George Peabody's Gift to Maryland, are no longer available.
