Be it Remembered that Samuel Hanson Esq.r Pursuant to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided lodged with the Clerk of the Court here the following Bill Acc.t & Warrant for Attachment Viz.t This Bill bindeth me Thomas Richards my Heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs to Pay to Samuel Hanson Jun his Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns the Just and full Sum of One Thousand Nine Hundred and Nine Pounds of good Sound Merchantable Tobacco in Cask Convenient in Charles County on Demand for Value Received in Witness whereof I hereunto Set my hand and seale this 27.th day of July 1747 his Witness Tho.s TR Richards John Thompson Jun mark John Howard On the Back of which Bill is the following Acc.t Viz.t 1746 Thomas Richards D.r
Charles County ss.t Whereas it appears to me by Samuel Hanson Jun that Thomas Richards stands Justly Indebted unto him in the Sum of Two Thousand and Seventy Three p.ds of Tobacco and that the said Richards is Absconded and Run away from the Place of his late abode These are therefore in his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprys Name to Command you on sight hereof to Issue Attachment against the Goods & Chattles Lands Rights and Credits of the said Thomas Richards for as well the sum of Two Thousand and Seventy Three Pounds of Tobacco as also what Costs shall accrue on prosecuting the said Writ of Attachment and for so doing this shall be your Sufficient Warrant Given under my hand and seal this 26.th day of August 1748 To the Clk Cha.s Co.ty Court Wm Middleton Whereupon It was Commanded the Coroners of Charles County that of the Goods Chattles and Credits of the afs.d Thomas Richards in their Bailywick being they should attach as well the Sum of Two Thousand and Seventy Three Pounds of Tobacco Damages as one Thousand p.ds of (Tobacco) |
