(383) It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take William Wood late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe Keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in March Next to satisfy unto Alexander Black as well the sum of Two Pounds fifteen shillings and seven pence sterling which to the said Alexander Black in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary before the Justices afs.d was adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the s.d Alexander Black at Charles County afs.d made and unperformed as also one Hundred and Ninety Two Pounds of Tobacco which to the same Alexander Black of his assent was adjudged for his Costs and Charges about his suit in this part laid out and Expended whereof the said W.m Wood is Convict &Ca And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in March afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afores.d thus Indorsed Vizt Cepi Corpus sat.d she Tho.s Hungerford she
