Thereupon the said Walter Produces the Note afs.d in the words following vizt

Charles County ss.t
                                  I hereby Promise and oblige my self my Heirs Executors and
Administrators to pay of Cause to be paid unto Walter Hanson or his assigns the full &
Just sum of Eight Pounds fifteen shillings and Eleven Current money the same being for
Value Received of Mr William Rain as witness my hand this 26th January 1744

And the said Henry by Phip Key his attorney Comes and defends the force and
Injury when &C.a and prays leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden at Cha.s
Town on the Second Tuesday in November and he hath it and the same day is given to the
same Walter here &Ca
                                     At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in November afs.d Comes
here as well the said Walter as the said Henry by their attorneys aforesaid and the said
Henry by his said attorney prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be
holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in March and he hath it and the same day
is given to the same Walter here &C.a
                                                At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in March afs.d Comes
here as well the said Walter as the said Henry by their attorneys aforesaid and the said
Henry by his said attorney prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden
at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June and he hath it and the same day is given
to the same Walter here &Ca
                                           At which day to with the Second Tuesday in June afs.d Comes here as well
the said Walter as the said Henry by their attorneys aforesaid and the said Henry by his said
Attorney prays further leave to Imparle here to until the Next Court to be holden at Charles
Town on the Second Tuesday in August and he hath it and the same day is given to the same
Walter here &Ca
                         At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in August afs.d Comes here as well the s.d
Walter as the said Henry by their Attorneys aforesaid and the said Henry by his said attorney
prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on
the Second Tuesday in November and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Walter
here &Ca
                  At which day to wit the Second Tuesday in November afs.d Comes here as well the s.d
Walter as the said Henry by their attorneys aforesaid and the said Henry by his said attorney
Prays further leave to Imparle hereto until the Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the
Second Tuesday in March and he hath it and the same day is given to the same Walter here &Ca

And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in March aforesaid Comes here as well
the said Walter by his said attorney aforesaid as the said Henry by his attorney aforesaid and
the said Henry by his said attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &Ca

Whereupon all and singular the Premises being by the Court here (according to
the Directions of the Act of Assembly in such Cases late made and Provided fully seen
heard and understood) and due Deliberation thereupon had      It is adjudged and
Decreed that the said Walter Hanson Recover against the said Henry Thompson as
well the sum of Eight Pounds fifteen shillings & Eleven Pence Current money for his
Damages aforesaid as also the sum of Two Hundred & Twenty Seven pounds & one half
Pounds of Tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his suit in this part
Def.t in mea   laid out and Expended and the said Henry Thompson in Mercy &Ca
