(300) March Court Anno Domini 1747 Summons ordered and Issued for John Hanson Junior to Testifie for George Tarvin against Timothy Carrington Same for [illegible] Harris to Test for John Penn vs W.m Theobalds Francis Meck and William Beck Pet.o for Lycence to keep ordinary Rejected Daniel Monroe Petition for an allowance for looking after and Barying Sarah Cloudely Whereupon he is allowed Eight Hundred Pounds of Tob.o in the Next Levy John Lemaster Petition to be Levy free for the future Read & Granted David Cutherland Petition to be Levy free for the future Read and Granted John Clark Petition for ^an old^ Negroe Named Dick to be Levy free Read & Granted William Theobald Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Vizt To the Worshipfull the Justices of Charles County Court The Petition of William Theobalds of said County Humbly Sheweth That whereas your Petitioner was bound for the due Administration together with James Sworn for the Estate of his Deceased Brother John Theobalds Estate who by the Widow Intermarried with Robert Whythill the said Widow is Since Dead and that the said Whythill is duely Confisating or making way with the said Deceaseds Estate He therefore prays that the said Whythill may be ordered to give Fresh Secys for the said Estate or that it may be put into Possession of him your Petitioner his surety aforesaid and he as in duty bound shall pray &Ca On Reading of which Petition the following Endorsement was made And the said Robert Whythill appearing and being Willing to surrender the Estate into his hands Whereupon the Court appoints Captain William Henson and M.r Matthew Barnes Appraisers to Appraise the said Estate Ruth Coffer Petition for an allowance for her support Read and allowed Six Hundred Pounds of Tobacco out of the armaments if so much in that he hands Richard Price and Elizabeth Thorne Prefers their Pet.o to the Court here Viz.t To the Worshipfull Justices of Charles County in Court sitting The petition of Richard Price and Eliz.a Thorn humbly sheweth That your Petitioners are Seized in fee of a Tract of Land lying in said County on the North side of the Eastermost Branch of Avon River formerly Called Nanjemy Creek which said land was originally on the 13.th day of January 1654 Granted unto Joseph Harrison for 300 acres some of the bounds thereof being decayed Your Petitioners therefore Humbly beg your Worships will be pleased to grant a Commission directed to such Gentlemen as you shall think proper to Examine Evidences to Perpetuate the bounds of said Land pursuant to the directions of (the) |
