(298) March Court Anno Domini 1747
March aforesaid Priscilla Fearson Wife of [illegible] Fearson of Charles County planter Into Court here in her proper person comes and Swears the Peace against the afs.d Jacob Andrew Minitree of Charles County Carpenter Whereupon It is Ordered that the said Jacob Andrew Minitree Enter into Recognizance with In the sum of FIfty pounds Current Money together with Two Sufficient Sureties in the Sums of Twenty five Pounds Current Money for his the said Jacob Andrew Good Behaviour till & appearance at the next County Court to be held held on the Second Tuesday in June towards all his Majestys Subjects and particularly towards the aforesaid Priscilla Thereupon into Court here in his proper Person Came the afs.d Jacob Andrew Minitree and acknowledges himself to owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary In the sum of Fifty Pounds Current Money of Maryland and also in Like Manner Came Barton Warren and John Hammill and Acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship In the Sum of Twenty five pounds Like money Each which said sums they severally Yeilded & Granted to be made and Levied on their and Every of their body's Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the use of his said Lordship his heirs & successors On Condition that the said Jacob Andrew Minitree do make his Personal Appearance at the Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next & in the mean time to keep the peace and be of good Behaviour to all his Majestys Subjects and particularly to the before mentioned Priscilla Fearson Ordered by the Court here that the Sheriff Pay John Moore 2000lls Tob.o out of the Fines and Amerciaments Now in his hands to Collect Ordered by the Court here that Mr John Winter and M.r Robert Yates do agree with some Workmen to Repair Allens Fresh Bridges as they shall think fit Margarett Chapman being present herein Court in her proper person prays that a summons may Issue for a Certain Joseph Mankin to appear before the Justices here to shew Cause why he detaineth a Certain Josias Mankin Orphan & Servant to the aforesaid Margarett Whereupon Summons Issues Returnable here Immediately |
