the same Month I attached in the hands of John Estep the whole Dam.s &
Costs within mentioned as the Effects of the within Named Mark Knowles to and for
the Use of the within named William Middleton and I have made to the Garn.s
abovementioned that they be and appear before the Justices afs.d at the time and
place within prescribed to shew Cause why the said Effects so attached in their
hands should not be Condemned according that is to the said Philip Edelin before
Notley Maddox Wm Middleton Jun & to John Estep before Thomas Wilson &
William Middleton Jun Good & lawfull Men of my bailywick as I am hereby
Commanded
                                                             So answers
                                                                                     Sam: Hanson she

And the said Philip Edelen the said sum of seventeen Hundred & forty
Pounds of Tobacco altho solemnly Called Comes not but makes Default

                                                       Whereupon the said William by Jeremiah Chase
his attorney afs.d Comes & prays Condemnation of the sum afs.d was afs.d in the
hands of the Garnashee afs.d attached with Execution thereof to him to be adjudged

                                                                   Therefore it is Considered by the Court
here that the said William have Condemnation of the sum afs.d in the hands of the
Garnashee afs.d attached by the Court here adjudged according to the form force &
Effect of the act of assembly in those Cases late made and Provided and that the s.d
W.m have thereof Execution &C.a               Mem.o att.a struck off as to the other Gar
