(228)        November Court Anno Domini 1747

And now here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in November afs.d Comes
the said Samuel Hanson Jun by Jeremiah Chase his attorney and offers himself
against the said Lawrance in the plea afs.d and the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court
here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed

Charles County ss.t  To the Worshipfull the Justices within mentioned We hereby
Certifie that by Virtue of the within Writ to us directed on the 27.th day of August 1747
We have attached in the hands of Mary Ann Atchison the whole Damages & Costs
within mentioned as the Effects of the within named Lawrance Macklemarr to &
for the use of the within named Sam Hanson Jun.r and we have made known to
the Garnashee above mentioned that she be and appear before the Justices afs.d
at the time and place within prescribed to shew Cause if any she has why
the said Effects so attached in her hands should not be Condemned according to
Law to and for the said Hansons use before John [illegible] & Jacob Brandt
good & Lawfull men of our Bailywick as we are hereby the within Writt Commanded
                             So answers for the Coroners of Charles County
                                                                                                  John Wilder Coroner

And the said Mary Ann Atchison the sum of Eight Hundred and Fifty five
Pounds of Tobacco altho solemnly Called Comes not but makes Default and
the said
                         Whereupon the said Samuel by Jeremiah Chase his attorney
afs.d ^Comes^ & prays Condemnation of the sum afs.d so as afs.d in the hands of the Garnashee
afs.d attached with Execution thereof to him to be adjudged
                                                                                           Therefore it is Considered
by the Court here that the said Samuel have Condemned of the same afs.d
in the hands of the Garnashee afs.d attached by the Court here adjudged according
to the form force and Effect of the Act of Assembly in those Cases late made and
Provided and that the said Samuel have thereof Execution &Ca

Charles County ss.t  John Mudd Sen late of Charles County Planter was
                                Attached to Answer George Tarvin of a plea of Trespass upon the Case

And Whereupon the said George by Henry Darnall his attorney Complains
for that whereas the said John on the Eighteenth day of of August in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Seven Hundred and forty Three at Charles County afs.d was Indebted
unto the said George In the sum of one Thousand and fifty Two pounds of Tobacco for
Divers Particulars lying properly in Account as by a Particular Account thereof
herewith into Court brought may appear and the said John being so thereof Indebted
in Consideration thereof afterwards to wit the day and year afs.d in the County afs.d
