(21 of the said Land agreable to the Direction of the Act of Assembly In those Cases lately made and Provided George Plater Prefers to the Court here the following Pettition Vizt March 3d 1746/7 Gent I shall be oblige you.d Please did order a Commission to Prove the Bounds of a Tract of Land in my Possion In Colverton Mann.r near Swanson creek in your County To the Worshipfull Jam Gent The Justices of Charles County Geo Plater Whereupon it is ordered that Commission Issue Returnable here &c.a To Cap.tn Allen Davies George Maxwell Jon.a Wilson and John Estep of Charles County Gent or any Three or two of them to Examine Evidences Touching the Bounds of the said Land agreable to the Derections of the Act of Assembly in those Cases Late made and Provided James Livers Prefers to the Court here the following Pettition Viz.t Charles County ss.t To the Worshipfull The Justices of Charles County now in Court Setting the Pettition of James Livers a Languishing Prisoner of said County In Humble Manner sheweth That whereas your poor Pettitioner hath Been a Prisoner for six Months Past and having a wife and Child who must Greatly Suffer for want of his Assistance and Not having wherewith to Satisfy his debts but being very willing To surrender up all that he hath in the world for the use of his Creditors he most Humbly Prays that your worships will be pleased To Recommend him to the Gov.r and upper and Lower House of This Province as if it Object to Have an Act of Assembly Past for his Enlargement and he as in duty Bound shall Ever Pray &c.a James Livers |
