(208)            November Court Anno Domini 1747

The said Sum of Nine Hundred and Nine pounds of Tobacco or any part thereof to
them the said Mess.rs Tubmans and Hartley hath not paid or in any sort Contented
Altho so to ^do^ the said James was on the first Day of June In the year Lord One Thousand
Seven Hundred and forty five and often before and Since at Charles County afs.d by the s.d
Mess.rs Tubmans and Hartley Requested but the said James the said Sum of Nine
Hundred and Nine pounds of Tobacco or in any part thereof to them the said Mess.rs and
Tubmans and Hartley to pay or in any sort to Content hath hitherto altogether
Refused and Still doth Refuse to the Damage of them the said Mess.rs Tubmans &
Hartley Eighteen Hundred and Eighteen pounds of Tobacco and therefore suit is
brought and so forth                                                                                    John Doe
