(186)            November Court Anno Domini 1747

September 9th 1747
                                     John Hanson aged Sixty five or thereabouts
being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God Declares that
about twenty Three or four years ago Francis Goodrick the first shewed he
a Couple of stumps near which the Deponant now stands (being on a hill on the
Edge of an old field) and told him that one of the said Stumps was a Boundary of his
the said Goodricks Land and the said Deponant further says that he thinks the
Stump he now lays his hand on being one of the abovesaid Stumps the said
Goodrick told him he thought to be the very Boundary of his Land and further
he sayeth not

          John Summers aged Thirty or thereabouts being Sworn as above
Declares that about sixteen or seventeen years ago a Certain John Brooks (
Commonly Distinguished by the Name of Country John Brooks) shewed him
an Stump which Stump is the same that above John Hanson laid his hand on
mentioned in the above Deposition and told him that the said Stump was a
Boundary or M.r Goodricks Land and also a Boundary of M.r Hussys Land and
further he told him that the line run from the said Stump for the Land of a Certain old
Allward & further he Sayeth not


John Lawcroft aged sixty or thereabouts being Sworn as above Declares that about
Twenty five or Twenty Six years ago old John Brooks the same mentioned in the
above Deposition shewed him a Back on which this Deponant now lays his
hand standing on the Edge of Clarks Swamp and told him it was Divisional Tree
of a Tract of Land called Joshuas now in Possession of of M.rs Sam Mason
and a Tract of Land belonging to a Certain John Aleward now in Possession of
Jane Mankin and further he sayeth not


14.th   Thomas Morris aged forty Three or thereabouts being Sworn as
above Declares that about Twenty Eight years ago he was a Chain Carrier on
a Survey of a Certain Alwards Land and that the Beginning of the said Survey
was near the place where the said Deponant now stands which is about Ten or
fifteen yards distance from the Stumps ment.d in the above Depositions and further
he sayeth not

Charles County ss.t
                                  We the Subscribers Commissioners appointed by the
within Commission having first Complyed with the privious Requisites of the
Law did meet on the within ment.d Tract or parcels of Land and there took the Depositions
of all such Witnesses as were offered to us touching the Premises which are hereunto
annexed Given under our Hands and Seals this   day of November 1747
