(137) James Mankin Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Vizt To the Worshipfull Justices of Charles County Court Humbly sheweth that the Petitioner James Mankin holds Part of a Tract of Land Lying in Charles Co.ty Call'd Barkers Rest it being a Very antient Tract of Land and the Bound Trees being Down and gone therefore the Petitioner begs that your Worships Will appoint Commissioners to meet on the said land and take the Deposition of all such Evidences as shall be offer'd on the afs.d Premises and your Petitioner will for ever for you Pray Whereupon it is ordered that Commission Issue Returnable here &C.a To John Winter Benjamin Douglass samuel Chance & Peter Wood or any Three or Two of them to Examine Evidences touching the bounds of the said Tract of Land agreable to the Directions of the act of Assembly in those Cases late made & Provided Mary Robinson Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Vizt To the Worshipfull Justices of Charles County Court Now Sitting the Petition of Mary Robinson most Humbly sheweth That whereas your Petitioner is in Possession of a Moiety of a Tract of Land lying in the County afs.d Called Saunders's Pleasure and as the Bounds thereof is Precarious and uncertain your Petitioner Humbly Prays that your Worships will grant her a Commission to Perpetuate the Bounds thereof & she will in duty Bound Pray &Ca Whereupon it is ordered that Commission Issue Returnable here &C.a To Wm Eilbeck Thomas Brook William Winter and Henry Moore or any three or Two of them to Examine evidences touching the bounds of the said Tract or Moiety of Land agreable to the Directions of the act of Assembly in those Cases late made & Provided Jane Mankin Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Viz.t To the Worshipfull Justices of Charles County Court the Petition of Jane Mankin Humbly Sheweth That your Petitioner being Possession of three Parcels of Land Called Pardinership Mores Hope and Good Luck all being together in the said County the bounds are uncertain your Petitioner therefore Humbly Prays your Worships to Grant her a Commission to Examine Evidences in order to Secons and Perpetuate the bounds of the s.d Land and she as in duty bound shall ever Pray Whereupon it is ordered that Commission Issue Returnable here &C.a To William Middleton Samuel Hawkins Henry Marten & Samuel Hawkins Luckett or any three or Two of them to Examine evidences touching the bounds of the said tract or moiety of Land agreable to the Directions of the act of assembly in those Cases late made and Provided Elizabeth Morriss ^by her^ Petition to the Court here has an old Negroe man Named Cupid set levy free for the future |
