And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d Comes
the said Askins Executors by Jeremiah Chase their Attorney and offers
themselves against the said Edward in the Plea afs.d and the sheriff afs.d Returns to
the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed

                              Be it Known to the Worshipfull the Justices within Named that
by Virtue of this Receipt I have attached of the Goods of the within Named Edward
Murphy as by a schedule hereto annexed and have also attached in the hands
of sundry People following the whole Damages & Costs Viz.t Wm Pagot Henry
Acton John Hambleton James Hambleton John Robinson John smallwood
William Smallwood Benjamin Cawood Chapman Roberts Thomas Cawood
Patrick Hambleton Thomas Coombes John Harris and Richard Edelen
5..16..6 attached in all their several hands according to Law for the use of the
within Named Executors so answers                              Sam Hanson she
June 9.th 1747
With which Return was Returned the following schedule Viz.t


Charles County ss.t   We the subscribers being summoned and sworn by the she
of said County to appraise the and Value sundry Goods and Effects of Edw.d
Murphey to and for the use of Vincent Askins Executors which said Effects
we do Praise and Value as following Vizt

one pair of old Cart wheels in Sterling money
one cow and yearling sterling
                                                           to be paid in Currency
one feather Bed Bedsted hides and Rugg
one Cost Anvil and smiths Bellows
two hand hammers and broken Iron
one Pewter Dish and three Plates and small Bason
one young horse
one brass Candlestick
one brass Kettle
one old Chest
Three Cheers &
one tankard two Muggs Mine Pewter Spoons one Candle Box
one Bolster 3 Pillows

three Pewter Plates @ 1/3 p

Whereupon the said Askins Ex.rs by their attorney afs.d prays
Condemnation of the effects aforesaid so as afs.d as by the schedule aforesaid
amounting to One Pound seventeen shillings sterling and seven Pounds
Thirteen Shillings and Nine Pence Currency with Execution thereof to them to
be adjudged and the said Edward altho' Solemnly Called Comes not but
makes Default
