102)           June Court Anno Domini 1747

Divers particulars lying Properly in account as by a Particular Account
thereof here with into Court brought may appear and the said Richard being
so thereof Indebted in Consideration thereof afterwards (to wit) the day & year afs.d 
in the County afs.d upon him self Assumed and to the said Edward then & there
faithfully Promised that he the Said Richard the said sum of Twelve Hundred
and forty four Pounds of Tobacco to the said Edward would well & truly Content
& Pay when thereunto afterwards he should be requested  Nevertheless the s.d
Richard his Promise & Assumption afs.d in form afs.d made not in the
best Regarding but minding & fraudulently Intending him the said Edward
in this Part Craftily and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the said Richard
the said Sum of Twelve Hundred and forty four Pounds of Tobacco or any Part thereof
to him the said Edward hath not Paid or in any sort Contended altho so to do the s.d
Richard was on the Thirtieth day of September seventeen Hundred forty & six at Charles
County afs.d by the said Edward Requested but the said Richard the said sum of Twelve
Hundred forty & four Pounds of Tobacco or any Part thereof to him the said Edward to Pay or
on any sort to Content hath hether to altogether refused and Still doth Refused to the
damage of him the said Edward Two Thousand four Hundred & Eighty Eight Pounds of
Tobacco and therefore he brings suit & so forth                                                John Doe
