of the said Joseph of two thousand pounds of tobacco and thereupon he brings Suit &.c      Pledg.s &.c J: Doe R: Roe

          And the af.d John Evans by William Arbuckle his Attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &c and saith
that he Cannot deny the Action af.d of the af.d Joseph Ennalls nor but that the writing Obligatory af.d is ^the^ deed of the same John nor
but ^that^ he oweth the same Joseph the af.d two thousand four hundred pounds of tobacco in manner and form as the af.d Joseph above
against him hath declared

                               Therefore it is Considered that the af.d Joseph Ennalls recover against the af.d John Evans his debt af.d and
297    his damages by Occasion of the detention of the same debt to Two hundred and ninety Seven                         pounds of
tobacco to the same Joseph of his Assent by the Court here Adjudged and the af.d John in mercy &c

                        Joseph Maclayland late of Somerset County planter al dict
Joseph Maclayland of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland planter was Sumoned
to answer unto Joseph Ennalls of a plea that he render unto him Seven pounds and twelve shillings and three
pence Current money of Maryland which to him he oweth and from him he unjustly detaineth &c

          And Whereupon the said Joseph Ennalls by Francis Allen his Attorney saith that whereas the said Joseph MaClayland
the first day of december Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine at Somerset County af.d within the Jur of this
Court by his Certain writing obligatory which the said Joseph Ennalls with the seal of the said Joseph Maclayland Signed here
into Court brings the date whereof is the same day and year did Acknowledge himself to be bound unto the af.d Joseph Ennalls
in the af.d Seven pounds twelve shillings and three pence to be paid unto the said Joseph Ennalls when he should be
thereunto required yett the said Joseph Maclayland tho' often required the said Seven pounds twelve shillings and three
pence to the said Joseph Ennalls hath not rendred but the same to him hitherto to render hath denied and still doth deny &
unjustly detain to the damage of the said Joseph Ennalls of Five pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and thereupon he brings
Suit &c                                                                                                                                    Pledg.s &.c J: Doe R: Roe

Kersey of Dorchester County in the province of Maryland planter was Summoned to
answer unto Joseph Ennalls of a plea that he Render unto him Tenn pounds Nineteen Shillings and six pence
Currant money of Mary which to him he Oweth and ^from him he^ unjustly detained &a

    And Whereupon the said Joseph by Francis Allen his Attorney saith that whereas the said Patrick the thirtieth day
of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine at Somerset County af.d within the Jur of this Court by his
