Harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court for the time being As Also ^the^ Inhabitants of said
County of and from all Costs Charges and burthens whatsoever for or by Reason of the birth maintainance
and noushing and bringing up of the said Child and of and from all other suits Charges troubles and
demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same &.a

                                                                     Be it remembred that Robert Jenckins Henry Gent
Attorney of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is for the same Lord Proprietary
in this part prosecuteth doth Come here into the County Court to witt at dividing Creek in the same County the seventeenth day
of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty before John Scott Esqr and his Associates the said Lord
proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same Lord proprietary doth give the Justices here to understand
and be Informed that Tabitha Lamberson late of Coventry parish in the County af.d the tenth day of May in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty at the parish af.d in the County af.d and within the Jurisdiction of this Court did
Commit fornication with a Certain Wallis Balentine and did permitt the same Wallis Balentine then and there to have Carnal
knowledge of her body and then and there to beget a bastard Child on the body her the same Tabitha to the high displeasure of
Almighty God to the evill Example of all others in such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that
now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided &c  Whereupon
the same Attorney of the said Lord proprietary prays Advice of the Court here in the premisses and that due process of Law in this
part against the af.d Tabitha Lamberson may be made to answer the said Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses &c

                Thereupon Command was given to the sheriffe of Somerset County that he should take the said Tabitha Lamberson if she should
should be found in his bailywick and her should safe keep so that he might have her body here Immediately before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset now Sitting at dividing Creek to Answer unto his said Lordship of the Information af.d &c

                And afterwards to witt the same day and year above mentioned Came here before his Lordships Justices the said Tabitha
Lamberson in her proper person and had a hearing of the Information af.d and saith that she Cannot deny but that she is Guilty of
the premisses af.d in the Information af.d Specified above upon her Imposed in manner and form af.d as by the Information af.d
above upon her Supposed and maketh oath that a Certain Walis Balentine is the begetter of the Child she stands Informed against

                Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood   It is Considered by the
Court here that the af.d Tabitha Lamberson pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court here upon her
Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d she is Convict thirty shillings Current money of Maryland
and that the said Tabitha Lamberson be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &c

                 Whereupon the said Tabitha Lamberson is Ordered to give Security for the payment of all Fee or Fees due by means
of the Information af.d to any person or persons whatsoever   Thereupon a Certain Robert Lamberson of Somerset County
planter present her in Court in his proper person undertook for the said Tabitha Lamberson and Assumed upon himself to
pay all Fee or Fees due by means of the Information af.d to any person or persons whatsoever &c
