59 to be made and Levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it happen that the said Henry Walston doe not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June then next Following and doe not answer unto his said Lordship of and Concerning of his Commiting of fornication with a Certain Mary Miles and do not stand and abide the Judgment of the Court thereupon and doe depart the same Court without Leave &a
Thereupon the said Stephen Lancks appearance is recorded and he accordingly discharged &c Whereupon the said Stephen Lanck is Ordered to Enter into new Recognizance in Twenty pounds Currant Money for his the said Stephen Lancks appearance before his Lordships Justices at the next Court to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June next following to give Evidence on behalfe of his Lordship against Francis Tate on Suspicion of felony &a Thereupon the said Stephen Lanck present herein Court in his propers person acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his ^said^ Lordship in the Sum of Twenty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland of his body good or Chattells Lands or tenements to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it happen that the said Stephen Lanck doe not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in and for the County aforesaid the third Tuesday of June then next following and doe not then and there give such Evidence as he shall know against the afd Francis Tate on Suspicion of felony and do depart the Same Court without Leave &.c
said Lordships Justices the peace in the County af.d to keep Assigned by the Oath of twelve Jurors being presented that Jean Harman late of Alhallows parish in the County af.d Spinster the twenty fifth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine at the parish af.d in the County af.d in the County af.d and within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Comit fornication with a Certain person to the Jurors af.d unknown and did permitt the same unknown person then and there to have Carnall Knowledge of her body and then and there to beget a bastard ^Child^ on the body of her the same Jean to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord propry that now is his good Rule and Goverment and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made and provided &c Thereupon it is Commanded the sheriffe of Somerset County that he should take ^the said^ Jean Harman if she should be found in his Bailiwick and her should safe keep so that he might have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in and for the County af.d the third tuesday of March Anno Dom one thousand seven |
