31 If It happen that the said Thomas Holbrook doe not keep good Rules and orders and do suffer Idle Loose and disorderly persons to tipple game or Committ disorders or other Irregularities in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment dureing the time that he shall keep the same Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such case made and provided &.a
shall seem meet which is by the Court here unto him Granted he giveing security for to Comply with the act of Assembly in such Case made and provided &.a Whereupon the said David Murray with James Martin and Samuel Hopkins of Somerset County Gentleman his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his his Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of Maryland in the full and Just sum of five pounds Currant money of said province of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements severally to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it happen that the said David Murray doe not pay and Satisfie unto the Sheriffe of the County aforesaid for the time being fifty Shillings Currant money of the province aforesaid Yearly and every Year he Shall keep such Ordinary or house of Entertainment as aforesaid &a Likewise the same David Murray with James Martin and Samuel Hopkins his securitys as afd all present herein Court in their proper persons as aforesaid acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary in Forty pounds Current money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements severally to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors If it happen that the said David Murray doe not keep good rules and Orders and doe Suffer Idle Loose or disorderly persons to Tipple Game or commit disorders or Other Irregularitys in his Ordinary or hous of Entertainment during the time that he shall keep the Same Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such Case made and provided &a
great Prejudice and he haveing Already Cleared another Road which is full as near and as good and Passable as the Old One Humbly prays your Worships will be pleased to Allow him to turn the said Road and he as in duty bound shall pray &.a The petition af.d being Read and heard &.a Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the af.d |
