Sommerset ss     Memorand.m That a Court of his Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary

of the province of Maryland held at dividing Creek in Sommerset County the Third Tuesday of
    June to witt the fifteenth day of the Same month Ann Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty Two
    before his said Lordships Justices the peace in the Same County to keep assigned by the Oath of Twelve
    Jurors presented That wee of the Orphan Jury do present a Certain Sarah Howchen of Wickacomoco
    hundred for not Leaving a Certain Levin Layton to be a weaver

                      Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriffe of Sommerset County that he Should Take the
    Said Sarah Howchen if She Should be found in his bailywick and her Should Safe keep so that he might
    have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Sommerset to be held at dividing Creek
    the     third Tuesday of August Ann Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty Two to answer unto his ^said Lordship^ of
    and Concerning of the presentment aforesaid &a

                And now to witt ^the^ Seventeenth day of August Ann Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty Two Att a Court
    then held at dividing Creek before his Lordships Justices Came the aforesaid Sarah Howchen in her proper
    person and for as much as it doth appear to the Court ^here^ thro' Inspection that the aforesaid Sarah Howchen
    had done what in her Lay to Comply with the Indenture of the aforesaid Levin Layton in Learning him
    his trade &.a  Wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Sarah Howchen of the presentmt aforesaid
    be quiet and goe thereof without day &a      paying the Severall Officers their Fees due by means of the
    premisses aforesaid &a

Nicholas Bucker

Whereas a Certain Nicholas ^Buckler^ being bound by Recognizance with Two Securitys for
his the said Nicholas Bucklers appearance to answer on Suspicion of felony &a and
    now to witt the fifteenth day of august Anno Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty Two at a Court then
    held at dividing Creek before his Lordships Justices Came the aforesaid Nicholas Buckler in his proper person
    and prays that his appearance may be recorded and he and his Securitys discharged from the Recognizance afd

             Thereupon the said Nicholas Bucklers appearance is Recorded and he and his securitys accordingly
discharged &a  Whereupon the said Nicholas Buckler is Ordered to give Security for the paym.t
of the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses and recognizance aforesaid but for want thereof the said
Nicholas Buckler is Committed into the Custody of the Sheriffe of Sommerset County there to remain &a the said
sheriffe present herein Court took Charge of the said Nicholas accordingly &a
