Sommerset ss   Att a Court of his Lordship the Right Honourable Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary
                         of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.a held at dividing
                         Creek in and for the County of Somerset the Third Tuesday of August to witt the Seventeenth day of the
                         Same month Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and forty Two by his said Lordships the Lord
                         Proprietarys Justices the peace within and for the County aforesaid to keep assignd of whom were
                         present

                                           The Court being Called and Sat as above proceeded to business in manner following vizt

David Oday
   bound to
George Makein
Whereas a Certain David Oday an Orphan being bound Out an Apprentice by the Court untill he the
said David Oday should Arrive at the age of Twenty One Years unto a Certain Owen Oday the said
Owen to Learn his said apprentice as appears by said Indetenture Referrence thereunto being had &a
The said Owen Oday and apprentice both present herein Court in their proper persons the said Owen prays the Court
here that he may be discharged and his Security from ^the^ Indenture or Covenants and recognize they had Entered into for the
performance of the Covenants aforesaid &.a  Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood

          It is Considered that the aforesaid Owen Oday and his Security be discharged from the Indenture Covenants and recognizances
aforesaid Entered into by the said Owen and Security Entered into for the performance of the Covenants aforesaid &a

                      Whereupon the said David Oday of his Own free Consent is bound Out unto George Mckenie
by the Court here of his own free assent untill he arrives at the age of Twenty One Years the said David Oday to Serve
his ^said^ Master the full term of Time aforesaid during which term the said David oDay his said Master well and faithfully
he Shall Serve his Secretts Keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he Shall do and in all things as
a good and faithfully apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term afd  In Consideration
of which Service the said George Mackenie present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same
Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said George Mckenie shall and will
during the Term aforesaid Learn the said David Oday to Read write and Cypher as far as the Rule of division Inclusive and
at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths Over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and also provide
for the said David Oday meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing meet for Such an apprentice to have and wear
during the term aforesaid         Whereupon the said George Martin is Ordered is Ordered to give Security for to Comply with the
                                                                                                                                                                                 Covenants
