he giveing security for to Comply with the act of assembly in such Case made and provided &a

                   Whereupon the said Heber Whittingham with Samuel Wilson and Henry Ballard of Somerset
County Gentleman ^his securitys^ all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his
Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of Maryland in the full and Just sum of Five pounds Current money
of said Province of their bodys Goods or Chattles lands or tenements ^severally^ to be made and Levied to the use of his said Lordship
his heirs and Successors   If it happen that the said Heber Whittingham doe not pay and Satisfie unto the sheriffe of the
County af.d for the time being  Fifty Shillings Current money of the province af.d Yearly and Every Year he shall keep
such Ordinary or hous of entertainment as af.d &c

                            Likewise the said Heber Whittingham with Samuel Wilson and Henry Ballard his Securitys all
present herein Court ^in their proper persons^ as aforesaid acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary
in Forty pounds Currant Money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements severally
to be made Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors  If it happen that the said Heber
Whittingham doe not keep good rules and Orders and doe suffer Idle loose or disorderly persons to tipple Game
or Committ disorders or Other Irregularities in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment during the time that he
shall keep the same Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such Case made and
provided &a

Lycence and recognizance
John Atkinson of Somerset County Inholder Came hereinto Court in his proper

person and prays that he may be permitted to keep an Ordinary or house of Entertainmt
                                        at his dwelling house at snow hill Town in Somerset County for the Use and Conveniency
of the Inhabitants Travellers and Strangers as to them Respectively shall seem meet which is by the Court here
unto him Granted he giveing security to Comply with the act of assembly in such Case made and provided &a

             Whereupon the said John Atkinson with Joshua Sturges of Somerset County planter his Security
both Present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his said Lordship the
Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of Five pounds Currant money of
said Province of their bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements severally to be made and Levied to the use of
his said Lordship his heirs and Successors   If it happen that the said John Atkinson doe not pay and satisfie
unto the sheriffe of the County aforesaid for the time being Fifty Shillings Currant Money of the Province afd Yearly
and Every Year he shall keep such Ordinary or hous of Entertainment as aforesaid &c

to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors  If it happen that the said John Atkinson doe not keep good

[illegible] in his Ordinary or hous of Entertainment during the time that he shall keep the same Conrtary to the true
