Maryland ss   Memorandum that upon the 1.st Day of may 1741 Coll George Dashiell and
M.r W.m Jones was Qualified to Execute the within Commission by takeing the Oath required
by Act of Assembly before the Subscriber one of the Justices of the provinciall Court of Maryland

                                        Depositions of Wittnesses taken on the Land Called Woolford and happy
Addition this 22d day of may one thousand seven hundred and forty one by us the Subscribers by
Virtue of a Commission to us directed by Somerset County Court is as Follows

pl.t                                          George Gale aged about thirty five years saith being Sworn on the holy
Evangelist of Allmighty God on part of the Plft.s he has heard his mother say that she apprehended

pl.t   Capell King aged about forty seven years being Sworn on the Holy Evangalist of Allmighty
God saith that he heard Mad.m Gale say that she and her Coz.n Sarah Lockerman being together and used
to play and they used to Call the Gut that Runs by the house the Great pasture Gut and further this
deponant saith not

pl.t      William Bozman aged about sixty one years being Sworn on the holy Evengelis of Allmighty
God saith being ask.d by the Plft.s what name the Gut had that run up by Mr Woolfords house and he
saith it was always Called M.r Woolfords Great Gut when he was a boy and that he never heard a small
Gut that run by Luks point Called by any perticular name the said Bozman being ask.t by def.t
whether he Ever knew a pasture fence Come down to the Gut by Luks point who answered he did know
a post and raile fence Come to it about forty years past when M.r Rodger Woolford was alive and that
he never knew the fence Goe to any other Gut but that he thinks the other End of the said fence Joyned to
a Cornfield fence that lies to the westward of the Gut that runs by M.r John Woolfords House and
further this deponant saith not                                                                           William Bozman

Plf.t   Catherine Floyd aged about Sixty three Years being Sworn on the holy Evengelis of Almighty
          God saith One day Brian Gilligan and she was walking through M.r Woolfords Old feild she
          said that was a fine pasture and Brian Gilligan told her that that was the great pasture Gutt
          and that his Old master had Left it to his son Levin and towards the fall she was Coming againe
