255 Dickeson of a plea that he render him twenty pounds two shillings and Six pence Curr.t money of Maryland which to him he owes and unjustly detains &a And Whereupon the said Teague by Rob.t Jenckins Henry his Attorney says that Whereas the said Solomon by his Certain writing obligatory which the said Teague sealed with the seal of the said Solomon herein Court brings bearing date the ninth day of March Anno Dom MDCCXLI and made at the County af.d on the day and year af.d did Acknowledge himself to be held and firmly bound to the said Teague in the said sum of twenty pounds two shillings and six pence Curr.t money af.d to be paid to the said Teague when thereof afterwards required Nevertheless the said Solomon the said sum of twenty pounds two shillings and Six pence Curr.t money af.d to the said Teague hath not rendred but that to doe hitherto hath denyed and still doth deny and unjustly detain altho' hereto afterwards to witt the Sixteenth day of March Anno Dom MDCCXLi at the County af.d and often since that time by the said Teague required to the Damage of the said Teague forty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and thereof he brings Suit &c Pledg.s &.c J Doe & R Roe And the af.d Solomon Riggen by Geo Douglas his Attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &c and saith that he Cannot deny the action af.d of the af.d Teague Dickeson nor Can he say but that the owes Writing Obligatory af.d is the Deed ^of the Same Solomon^ nor but that he owes the same Teague Dickeson the af.d twenty pounds two shillings and six pence Curr.t money Maryland in manner and form as the af.d Teague Dickeson above against him hath declared &c Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Teague Dickerson Recover against the aforesaid Solomon Riggin his debt aforesaid and his damages by Occasion of the detention of the Same debt to Two hundred and ninety four pounds of tobacco to the Same Teague of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the aforesaid Solomon in Mercy &c
money of Maryland which to him he Owes and unjustly detaines And whereupon the Same James by William Arbuckle his attorney says that whereas the said Samuel Mills on the Seventh day of March Ann Dom seventeen hundred and forty One by his Certain writing Obligatory which the Same James Sealed with the seal of the said Samuel hereinto Court brings whose date is the day and Year afd acknowledged himselfe to be held and firmly bound to the said James in |
