150 Supposed and the premisses in the Information af.d Expressly Acknowledgeth Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Absolum Hobbs pay unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord proprietary of Maryland for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in forme af.d he is Convict thirty shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Absolum Hobbs be taken to satisfise his said Lordship of the fine af.d &c Whereupon the said Absolum Hobbs is Ordered to give Security to save and keep Indemnifyed the Justices of the County of Somerset and their Successors from all troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by means of the birth and maintainance and bringing up of the Child af.d &c Thereupon the said Absolum Hobbs with George Dashiell of Somerset County Gent his Security present here in Court in his proper person Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the right Honourable the Lord propry of the province of Maryland in twenty pounds Curr.t money of their bodys goods or Chattles lands or tenements Severally to be made and Levied to the use of the Inhabitants of the County of Somerset for the time being If it happen that the said Absolum Hobbs & George Dashiell their heirs Ex.rs ^and^ Adm.rs or any or either of them doe not from time to time & at all times hereafter acquit discharge and Save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court for the time being as also the Inhabitants of said County of and from all Cost Charges and burthens what soever for or by reason of the birth maintainance norishing and bringing up of the said Child and of and from all other suits Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same &c
August in the Year of Our Lord God One thousand seven hundred and forty One before Robert King Esquire and his associates the said Lord Proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same Lord Proprietary doth give the same Justices to understand and be Informed that Thomas Pingally Late of Allhallows Parish in the said County of Somerset Planter the tenth day of July in the year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred and forty one with force and arms &.a at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Benton Harris then and still being Sub Sherriffe to John Handy Gent high Sheriffe of the said County of Somerset duely qualified and sworn and in the due execution of his ^said^ office in the peace of God and the said Lord Proprietary that now is then and there being an assault did make and him the said Benton Harris in the execution of his said Office af.d then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his Life it was greatly dispaired and other harms to the same Benton then and there did to the Grevious damage of him the said Benton and Contrary to the peace of the right Honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is his good Rule and Government &.a |
