being disabled by a Sicknesses in his lims and Especially an ailment in his leg apparent to your worships now your petitioner humbly Craves your worships allowance toward Setting him tax free and your petitioner shall as in duty bound shall Ever pray Charles Ve^a^sey The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had It is Considered by the court here that the af.d Ephraim Veasey be tax free untill please ^God to restore him to his health^ as by the petition af.d is praid and that he be allowed one pound of tobacco p year &c
that he is in no hopes of Getting Clear he therefore designs to petition the Assembly for Relief and prays your worships approbation on his behalf According to an Order of Council in Such Case and provided and he as in duty bound shall pray Fran.s Tate The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood It is Considered and Ordered that a Certificate be made to the said Francis Tate pursuant to a resolve of the upper house of Assembly bearing date the third day of September Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty one William Addams of Somerset County planter brings a negro boy here into Court named Nap Jah and prays that the Court would adjudge how old the said Negroe Nap Jah was at this day &.c Whereupon the said negroe Nap Jah is adjudged by the Court here to be of the age of nine years &c John Williams of Annamessex of Somerset County planter brings a negro boy here into Court named Abner and prays that the Court would adjudge how old the said Negro Abner was at this day &.c Whereupon the said Negroe Abner is adjudged by the Court here to be of the age of thirteen years &c Ordered that M.rs Mary Whittington wife of M.r Southy Whittington be allowed Twelve hundred pounds of tobacco she bringing in the first best peice of Linnen agreeable to act of assembly in such Case made and provided and that she have and Order on Capt John Handy high Sher of Sommerset County for the Same &a Ordered that M.rs Katherine Rownds be allowed one thousand pounds of tobacco she bringing in the second best peice of Linnen agreeable to Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided and that she have an Order on Capt John Handy high Sher of Somerset County for the Same &c Ordered that M.rs Ellinor King ^wife of M.r Whittington King^ be allowed four hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco she bringing in the Sixth best peice of Linnen agreeable to Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided and that she have an Order on Capt John Handy high Sheriffe of Somerset County for the Same &c Ordered that M.rs Rebecca Smith be allowed four hundred pounds of tobacco she bringing in the Seventh best peice of Linnen agreeable to Act |
