115 Somerset County ss: Whereas it is made appear by sundry persons and pticular by David Wilson that Tarrell Brown Planter of Somerset County af.d is absconded from his place of ^his^ former Residence and his Return Doubtfull if ever for many Reasons These are therefore to Require you on sight hereof to Issue attachment against the Goods and Chattles of the said Tarrell Brown to the value of twenty four shillings and eight pence Currt money with Cost agreeable to act of assembly in such case provided and for so doing this shall be your warrant given under my hand this 23.rd day of May Anno Dom 1741 Sam.ll Wilson In Obedience to the above warrant was Issued the Following attachment against the goods and Chattles of the af.d Terrall Brown according to act of assembly in such case made and provided &.a Somerset ss Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the provinces of maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.a To the sheriffe of Somerset County Greeting we Command you that you Attach any the goods Chattles rights or Creditts of Tarrell Brown late of Somerset County Planter if they shall be found in your bailywick to the value of Twenty four shillings and eight pence Currt money of maryland and four hundred pounds of tobacco and when you have the same attached or any part thereof the same in your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June Next then and there to be Condemned according to act of assembly to and for the use of a Certain David Wilson Unless the said Terrall Brown by himself or his attorny shall appear and answer unto unto the said David Wilson of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a according to Law and that by good and Lawfull men of your bailywick you make known unto the person or persons in whose hands you make the same attachment that he she or they be and appear before our Justices of our County Court to be held as af.d to shew Cause if any he she or they have why the same Goods Chattles Rights or Credits so attached in his her or their hands ought not to be Condemned and execution ^thereof^ had and made (according to act of assembly in such case made and provided) if to him her or them it shall seem meet and how you shall execute this writ that you make known unto our said Justices at the day and place af.d and have you then and there this writt Wittness John Scott Gent one of our Justices of our said Court the twenty fourth day of March Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty Att which day here Came the af.d David Wilson in his proper person and the sheriffe to witt John |
