113 shillings and three pence half penny Curr.t money and not more and because the af.d John denys not this but the same Allegations Grants to be true prays Judgment for those damages above Acknowledged together with his Costs and Charges af.d to him to be adjudged Therefore by Consent of the parties af.d it is Cosidered that the af.d John Newbold recover against ^the aforesaid^ Paul Alexander his damages af.d to the af.d three pounds fifteen shillings and three pence half penny Curr.t money by the same Paul in form af.d Acknowledged as also three hundred and forty pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges af.d to the same John at his request by the Court now here adjudged which Certain damages in the whole amounts to three pounds fifteen shillings and three pence half penny Curr.t money & three hundred and forty pounds of tobacco and the af.d Paul in mercy &c Somerset ss You Paul Alexander Nicholas Fountain ^&^ Thomas Reyley do Confess Judgment to John Newbold for ^the sum of^ three pounds fifteen shillings and three pence half penny Curr.t money of Maryland and three hundred and forty pounds of tobacco which sum was recovered by the said John Newbold against Paul Alexander on the Sixteenth day of June one thousand seven hundred and forty one in the County Court the said three pounds fifteen shillings and three pence half penny and three hundred and forty pounds of tobacco to be Levied of your bodys Goods or Chattles lands or tenements for the use of the said John Newbold in Case the said Paul Alexander shall not pay and satisfie to the said John Newbold the said sum of three pounds Fifteen shillings and three pence half penny and three hundred and forty pounds of tobacco so as af.d recovered against him with the Additionall Costs thereon on on the tenth day of November next Taken June the 25.th 1741 by us Jam.s Martin Sam.ll Hopkins
might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty one to answer unto Levin Gale Esq.r of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a and the same day is given to the af.d Levin here &.a And hereupon the said Levin declared against the said Patrick in the plea af.d in form Following Somerset ss Patrick Kersey late of Somerset County Planter was attached to answer unto Levin Gale Esq.r of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a And Whereupon the said Levin by George Douglas his attorney Complains that whereas the said Patrick on the thirteenth day of December Anno Dom MDCCXL at the County af.d was Indebted to the said Levin in the sum of one pounds ten shillings to be discharged in Corn at twenty pence p Bushell and also twenty four bushells of Indian Corn for sundry matters and things properly Chargeable in account as by an account thereof hereto annexed may appear and so being thereof Indebted in Consideration thereof afterwards to wit the day and year af.d at the County af.d upon himself did assume and to the said Levin Gale then and there faithfully promise that he the said Patrick the said thirty Shillings in Corn at the Rate af.d and also the said twenty four bushells of |
