109 the said William on the xxiv day of December Anno Dom MDCCXL at the County af.d did make his Certain note in writing called a promissary note ^and the said note^ with the proper mark of the said William signed to the said Henry then and there did deliver by which note the said William promised to pay to the said Henry or his order eleven shillings and six pence Currt money of maryland on demand or when required in breaking of flax at one penny p pound or in any other work at one shilling p day by means whereof and by force of the statute in that Case lately made and provided the said William became Chargeable to pay to the said Henry the said sum according to the tenor of that note ^& so being thereof Chargeable of Consideration thereof afterwards to wit ye day and year afd at ye County afd promised to pay the same according to the tenor of that note^ and whereas the said William afterwards to wit on the xix day of January Anno Dom MDCCXL at the County af.d did make his Certain other note in writing Called a promissary note and the said last named note with the proper mark of the said William signed to the said Henry then and there did deliver by which note last named the said William did promise to pay to the said Henry three pounds nine shillings Currt money of maryland for value received to be void Nevertheless if the said William should faithfully serve the said Henry in every Lawfull employment for the space of two months after the date of that note by means whereof the said William became Chargeable to pay to the said Henry the said sum in the said Last named note Contained on his failing or refusall to serve the time in the said note mentioned according to the tenor of the said note and so being thereof Chargeable on Consideration thereof afterwards to wit the day and year afd at the County afd promised to pay the mony in the said Last note mentioned on his failing or refusall to serve the time in the said note mentioned and whereas the said William Afterwards to wit on the xix day of January Anno Dom MDCCXL at the County afd did make his one other note in writing Called a promissary note and the said Last named note with the proper mark of the said William subscribed to the said Henry then and there did deliver by which Last note the said William promised to pa to the said Henry or his order thirty two shillings and six pence Currt money of maryland at or before the fifteenth day of march then next ensuing the date of that note or on failure thereof to serve the said Henry in all lawfull employment by the space of two months by means whereof and by force of the statute in that case lately made and provided the said William became Chargeable to pay to the said Henry the sum in the said note named or serve the said Henry the time in the note mentioned on his failure of payment of the mony last mentioned and so being thereof Chargeable in Consideration thereof afterwards to wit the said xix day of January in the year afd at the County afd promised to pay the money in the said Last note menconed or failing to do the same according to the tenor thereof to serve the said Henry |
