County af.d for the use and Conveniency of the inhabitans travellers and Strangers
as to them respectively shall seem mete which is by the Court hereunto him gained
granted he giving security according to act of assembley in such case made and
provided &c

        Whereupon the said Abraham Cordery with Alexander Lackie and
Robert Collier both of the County af.d Gen.t his securitys all present herein Court
in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto His Lordship
the Lord proprietary of the province of maryland in the sum of pounds
Curr.t money or their goods and Chattles Lands and tennements Joyntly
and severally to be made and Levi'd to the use of his said Lordship his heirs
and Successors if it happen that the said Abra: Cordery do and shall not pay
unto his said Lordship fifty shillings Curr.t money of maryland for every year
he shall keep such ordinary or house of entertainment &c

            Likewise the said Abraham Cordery with Alexander Lackie and Rob.t
Collier his securitys af.d all present herein Court in their proper persons af.d  
acknowledged themselves Indebted unto His Lordship the Lord proprietary
in the sum of forty pounds Curr.t money of maryland of their goods and
Chattles Lands and tennements Joyntly and severally to the use of his said
Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and levied if it happen that the
said Abraham Cordery do not keep good rules and orders and do suffer Idle loose
and disorderly persons to tipple game or Commit disorders or other Irregularities
in his ordinary or house of entertainment dureing the time that he shall keep the
same Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such case
made and provided &c

Robert Geddes of Somerset County Inholder Came hereinto Court
in his proper person and prays that he may have the Liberty
to keep an ordinary or house of entertainment at his house at the Court                                                                                        
house at dividing Creek in the County af.d for the use and Conveniency of the
inhabitans travellers and Strangers as to them respectively shall seem mete which
is by the Court here unto him granted he giving security according to act of assembly
in such case made and provided &c
