48 Upon the mocon and at the prayer of William Goldsborough Gent Clerk of the Indictments for Somerset County It is Ordered that the Sheriffe of Said County return a pannell of Grand Jurors here Immediately to Enquire for his said Lordship the right honourable the Lord Proprietary and the body of the County aforesaid And afterwards in the Same County Came the said Sheriffe to witt Joseph MaClester Gent and made return to the Court here of a pannel of Grand Jurors as followeth viz.t William Holland Walter Darby Samuel Shewell Robert Collier William Porter David Hudson George Howard James Mumford Hugh Caldwell John Roberts George Bozman Mathew Kemp William Polk Will.m Laws Charles Curtis Lewis Disharoon and Benjamin Townsend Thereupon proclamation being made in Common form and the Jurors afd so as afd Impannelled being Severally Called over by their Names did appear as above and were sworn and Charged & sent out to Consider &c and Soon after the Grand Jurors afd being Impannelled sworn and Charged as aforesaid return here into Court and being Severally Called over did appear and return to the Court here the following Indictments against Richard Nichols, Timothy Madden, Marg.t Caldwell Marg.t Peal, Cat Harrison Kate a Mullato James Kane Benj.a Melson and presentment agt Isaiah Bredell thereupon the Grand Jurors afd are discharged and allowed fifty Shillings Curr.t money for their publick Service this Court to be paid next Levy Court and against the severall persons afd Indicted and presented it is ordered that Capias Issue returnable next augt Court &c Upon the motion of William Goldsborough Gent Clerk of the Indictments for Somerset County It is ordered here by the Court that the said William Goldsborough have Liberty to give orders for all Such Subpenas as he shall Necessary to give Evidence to the Grand Jurors this Court on behalfe of his Lordship against any person or persons whatsoever &c
of November ^then^ next the said Cornelius Linch the Younger to Serve his said Master the full term afd during which term the said Cornelius Lynch his said Master well and faithfully shall Serve his secretts keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he shall do and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term afd &c Inconsideration of which ^service^ the said George Bennett present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in manner and form following vizt that he the said George Bennett during the |
